Tuition, Refund & Scholarship Policy

Soulage Collective Yoga Teacher Training

Tuition & Payment Options

Tuition for the Soulage Collective Yoga Teacher Training may be paid either in full at the time of enrollment or through an approved payment plan.

Payment plans are offered as a convenience to trainees and do not alter the total tuition cost. All payment plan balances must be paid in full no later than thirty (30) days prior to the start date of the training. Failure to complete payment by this deadline may result in loss of enrollment.

Tuition fees cover instruction, training materials, scheduled practicum hours, and program administration unless otherwise specified.

Commitment to Training

Enrollment in the Yoga Teacher Training represents both a professional and financial commitment.

A final commitment to the training must be made no later than thirty (30) days prior to the training start date. This date serves as the primary benchmark for tuition obligations, scholarship confirmation, and refund eligibility.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

All requests for cancellation must be submitted in writing.

Refund eligibility is determined based on the date the written cancellation request is received relative to the training start date.

Refund Schedule

  • More than 30 days prior to the training start date: A full refund of tuition paid will be issued.

  • Within 30 days of the training start date (up to and including the day before training begins): A refund of 50% of total tuition will be issued.

  • Once the training has begun: No refunds will be issued for any reason, including but not limited to illness, injury, personal circumstances, scheduling conflicts, or dissatisfaction with the program.

Payment Plans & Refunds

For trainees enrolled in a payment plan:

  • The final payment must be completed no later than thirty (30) days prior to the training start date

  • Refunds, when applicable, are calculated based on the total tuition amount, not the amount paid to date

  • If a cancellation occurs within 30 days of the training start date, the trainee is responsible for 50% of the total tuition, regardless of the payment plan balance at that time

  • Once the training has begun, all tuition is non-refundable and any remaining balance becomes immediately due

Scholarships

Soulage Collective recognizes that access to Yoga Teacher Training has historically been shaped by inequities related to race, socioeconomic status, and systemic exclusion within yoga and wellness communities.

Teacher training requires not only financial investment, but also time, flexibility, and access to resources — barriers that have disproportionately limited participation for many individuals, particularly Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC), as well as those experiencing financial hardship.

In alignment with our commitment to equity, accountability, and the ongoing work of honoring yoga’s roots, Soulage Collective offers scholarships as one way to reduce barriers to participation and support a more inclusive and representative yoga teaching community.

Scholarship Offerings

For each Yoga Teacher Training cohort, Soulage Collective intends to award:

  • One BIPOC Equity Scholarship, covering 100% of tuition

  • One Financial Need Scholarship, covering 50% of tuition

Scholarships are awarded through an application process and are subject to availability, cohort size, and program capacity.

Scholarship Categories

BIPOC Equity Scholarship (100% Tuition)

This scholarship is intended to support individuals who identify as Black, Indigenous, or People of Color and who have historically been underrepresented in yoga teacher training spaces.

The scholarship is offered in recognition of systemic inequities within yoga communities and as part of Soulage Collective’s broader commitment to increasing access, representation, and cultural responsibility in yoga education.

Self-identification is honored and trusted. No documentation is required.

Financial Need Scholarship (50% Tuition)

This scholarship is intended to support individuals for whom the cost of Yoga Teacher Training presents a significant financial barrier.

Economic hardship affects people across many identities and circumstances, and financial access is a critical component of equity in education. Applicants are not required to disclose income or provide financial documentation.

Scholarship Eligibility & Conditions

  • Applicants may apply for one or both scholarship categories

  • Scholarship awards apply to tuition only and do not cover additional costs (e.g., books, travel, lodging)

  • Scholarships may not be transferred, deferred, or exchanged for cash

  • Scholarships may not be combined with other discounts unless explicitly stated

  • Scholarship recipients must meet all attendance, participation, and completion requirements of the training

  • Scholarship awards may be revoked if program policies or the Code of Conduct are violated

Scholarship Selection & Timeline

Scholarship applications are reviewed by program leadership with care, confidentiality, and a commitment to equity.

Awards are determined through a holistic review process that considers alignment with the training, readiness for participation, and the purpose of reducing systemic and financial barriers to access.

Scholarship decisions will be communicated prior to the thirty (30) day commitment deadline. Applicants are responsible for confirming enrollment and any remaining tuition obligations once notified.

All scholarship decisions are final.

Scholarship Application Questions

All scholarship applicants respond to the same set of questions, regardless of scholarship category:

1. What draws you to this Yoga Teacher Training at this moment in your life?

2. What are you hoping to learn, explore, or deepen through this training — personally, professionally, or both?

3. Yoga Teacher Training involves physical practice, study, reflection, and community engagement. What excites you about this process, and what feels unfamiliar or challenging?

4. How do you currently experience access, inclusion, or belonging within yoga or wellness spaces?

5. Is there anything else you would like us to know as we consider your application for scholarship support?

Applicants may indicate which scholarship category or categories they are applying for without additional explanation or documentation.

Non-Transferability of Tuition

Tuition and scholarship awards are non-transferable.

Enrollment, tuition payments, and scholarship awards may not be transferred to another individual, sold, gifted, deferred, or reassigned under any circumstances, except in the case of program cancellation by Soulage Collective.

Program Cancellation by Soulage Collective

In the unlikely event that Soulage Collective cancels the Yoga Teacher Training for any reason, enrolled trainees will be offered one of the following options:

● A full refund of all tuition paid, including scholarship-adjusted payments, or

● The option to apply all paid tuition as a credit toward a future Yoga Teacher Training offered by Soulage Collective

Soulage Collective is not responsible for additional costs incurred by trainees, including travel, lodging, or lost wages.

Missed Sessions & Withdrawal After Start

Missed sessions, partial attendance, or voluntary withdrawal after the training has begun do not qualify for tuition refunds, scholarship reinstatement, or tuition credits.

Any make-up sessions, if offered, are subject to additional fees and outlined separately in the Attendance and Make-Up Policy.

Acknowledgment

By enrolling in the Soulage Collective Yoga Teacher Training, trainees acknowledge and agree to the Tuition, Refund & Scholarship Policy as outlined
