YOGA

At Soulage, our core belief is in remaining curious. Our teachers have studied with a variety of mentors and pull from a plethora of inspirations, including but not limited to Katonah Yoga®, Chinese Medicine, Iyengar, Tantra, Somatics, Vinyasa and Hatha, often-times blending many techniques into one class. Yoga with the Collective at Soulage varies greatly from teacher to teacher and from class to class. This means each time you attend, your experience will be unique. Our yoga classes are taught to all-levels.

BEGINNER YOGA

Our signature blended class, slowed down with lots of instruction and modifications.

BUTI

Buti Movement combines vinyasa asana, HIIT (High-Intensity Interval Training) primal movement, and dance. Music guides our classes like an internal GPS, avoiding counted reps and allowing you to surrender completely to the beat. This dynamic movement forces you out of your head and INTO YOUR BODY.

RESTORATIVE YOGA + BREATHWORK

Restoration is reformation. This class will ask you to slow down and drop in by blending pranayama (breathing techniques) with restorative yoga. We will reorganize the containers in which we live and enliven it with breath. Expect both energizing and down-regulating breathwork with long holds supported by lots of props. Give yourself a drop of yin to balance all the doing of your day. This class is for anyone living inside a body.

HEALING MOVEMENT & MEDITATION

In this therapeutic practice, we explore self-massage techniques, somatic movement, and sound. The aim is to restore your body’s natural rhythms, relieve chronic pain and tension, and build better brain/body connections.

We end every practice with a sound bowl session and guided meditation.  This practice is beginner-friendly but is beneficial to all walks of life.

HOUSE DANCE

Learn the basics of House Dance, including footwork, groove, and essential techniques. Sync your moves with the pulsating rhythms of House music to express yourself through dance. Explore the roots and evolution of House Dance, connecting it to its New York City origins. Beginner-friendly. Intermediate dancers will have plenty of opportunities to expand their horizons.

unwind

This class invites you to explore restorative and gentle slow flows to connect the mind to the body and spirit. A low impact class, we will focus on micro movements with physical touch to restructure and connect from the inside out. This class is designed to prevent injury, restore muscle innervation, and assist reconnection to the deeper layers of self. We will also work with self massage, pressure point activation, along with spiraling techniques to deepen our practice.
